Invite team members
Invite colleagues to a team workspace, manage pending invitations and understand invite security.
Team members with the right permission can invite other people into a team workspace.
Send an invitation
Open Members in the team workspace, then choose Invite Members.
The invite form lets you enter an email address and choose a role. The app supports up to five invite rows in one submission and checks for duplicate emails in the form.
Before sending the invitations, Enviro-D evaluates invitation policies for the team.
What the recipient does
The invited person receives a link. They may need to sign in, sign up or complete MFA before they can accept.
Invitation acceptance is tied to the invited email address. If the wrong user is signed in, they should sign out and use the account that matches the invite email.
Pending invitations
The pending invitations table can show:
- invited email;
- role;
- invited date;
- expiry date;
- active or expired status.
Permitted users can update invitations, renew expired invitations or remove invitations.
Security behind invite links
Enviro-D protects one-click invitation links with a server-side signature. If a link is missing a valid signature, the app routes the recipient through the secure join flow instead of automatically signing them in.
Best practice
- Invite only the email address the person will use for Enviro-D.
- Remove stale invitations.
- Renew an expired invitation only when the recipient still needs access.
- Check the role before sending.
- Review the members list after a project or transaction ends.
