Report templates
Understand how report templates shape report structure and section requirements.
Enviro-D reports are generated from saved searches. The current report workflow asks you to choose a report template and review the sections required for that template.
What templates do
A template controls the report structure, the type of evidence pack produced and the sections that should be included.
Use the template name and description to decide whether it matches the review you are preparing. If you are unsure, choose the template that best matches the question being asked and record any assumptions for the reviewer.
Section access
A report can only use sections that are available for the saved search and relevant to the selected template. Some templates use a narrow set of configured sections, while broader templates can include more property setting, environmental setting or due-diligence datasets.
Choosing a template
Choose based on the decision you need to support:
- use a narrower template when you only need a targeted evidence pack;
- use a broader template when several site constraints could affect the decision;
- involve the appropriate adviser if the site is high-value, complex or time-sensitive.
Enviro-D is an early-screening and documentation tool. A generated report still needs human review before a business, legal, planning or technical decision is made.
