Select a property or site

Site Selection is where you define the site Enviro-D should screen.

A site can be a point, a cadastre parcel, a drawn polygon or an uploaded shape. The best choice depends on how much you know about the property and how precise the screening needs to be.

Search by address

Use the address search bar at the top of the map.

When you select a result, Enviro-D zooms to the location. In site-selection mode, the app also tries to resolve the point to a cadastre parcel where cadastre data is available. If a parcel is found, the saved site can use the parcel boundary. If not, the saved site can use the selected point.

Click on the map

You can also click a location on the map. Enviro-D checks that the click is inside Australia and that the map is zoomed in far enough to make the selection useful.

After a valid click, confirm the address or use the coordinates.

Select cadastre parcels

Use cadastre selection when the parcel boundary matters.

1. Zoom in to the site area. Cadastre selection is designed for close map views.
2. Turn on Cadastre Selection.
3. Hover over parcels to review available parcel details.
4. Click a parcel to select it.
5. Hold Ctrl, Command or Shift while clicking to add or remove parcels from a multi-parcel selection.
6. Review the selected cadastres, give the site a name, then save it.

The confirmation panel can show fields such as parcel, lot, plan, section, block, legal parcel, title reference, property reference, state, area, address, locality and council when those values are available.

Draw a site

Use drawing tools when the area you need to screen does not match a single parcel.

Available drawing options include line, rectangle, polygon, freehand and circle. When you finish drawing, Enviro-D asks you to confirm and save the drawn site.

Upload sites to a team account

Team accounts can use the bulk upload workflow where it is available. The upload control accepts supported site files such as ZIP, GeoJSON and JSON. The workflow includes a preflight step, a portfolio name and an import step.

Use this for a portfolio of sites, not for a single address lookup.

What to check before saving

Before you save a site, confirm:

• the location is the property you intended to screen;
• the boundary is close enough for the decision you are making;
• the site name is clear to other users;
• multi-parcel selections include only the parcels you need;
• drawn or uploaded sites are not too large for self-serve screening.
