Upgrading Reports
How to upgrade an existing Enviro-D report to access more environmental data layers.
If you've generated a Standard or Professional report but need more detail, you can upgrade to a higher tier within 7 days of generation.
Why Upgrade?
You might want to upgrade a report when:
- Initial screening reveals more risks than expected
- A client requests additional information
- Due diligence requirements change
- You need comprehensive documentation for a transaction
Upgrade Options
From Standard

Upgrade Window
Reports can be upgraded within 7 days of generation:
- The 7-day window starts from the generation timestamp
- After 7 days, you'll need to generate a new report
- The upgrade window is visible on each report
How to Upgrade
Step 1: Find Your Report
- Navigate to Reports in your workspace
- Locate the report you want to upgrade
- Reports eligible for upgrade show an Upgrade button
Step 2: Select Upgrade Tier
- Click Upgrade Report
- Review your current tier
- Select the tier you want to upgrade to
- View the additional credit cost
Step 3: Confirm Upgrade
- Verify you have sufficient credits
- Click Confirm Upgrade
- The upgraded report generates
Step 4: Access Upgraded Report
After upgrading:
- The original report is replaced
- All new layers are included
- A new PDF is generated
- Shareable links are updated
What Changes
Added Content
Upgrading adds:
- Additional environmental layer analysis
- New maps for added layers
- Extended risk assessments
- More detailed overlay analysis
Preserved Content
Upgrading preserves:
- Original property details
- Original generation date (with upgrade date noted)
- Report ID (for reference continuity)
- Original purchase attribution
Replaced Content
The original report PDF is replaced:
- Download the new PDF
- The old PDF is no longer available
- Shareable links now point to the upgraded version

Cost Calculation
Upgrade costs are calculated as:
Upgrade Cost = (New Tier Credits) - (Original Tier Credits)

Upgrading is cost-effective compared to generating a new report:

When Upgrade Isn't Available
You cannot upgrade when:
- More than 7 days have passed since generation
- The report is already Full Access tier
- The property data has significantly changed
- There's a system error (contact support)
After the 7-Day Window
If you need additional layers after 7 days:
- Navigate to the original search (if saved)
- Generate a new report at the desired tier
- The new report will reflect current data
Upgrade Tips
Plan Ahead
- Start with Standard for initial screening
- Upgrade only if risks are identified
- This approach can save credits overall
Client Communication
When presenting to clients:
- Upgraded reports note both dates
- Share only the final version
- Old links redirect to upgraded version
Bulk Properties
If assessing multiple properties:
- Generate Standard reports for all
- Review risk indicators
- Upgrade only high-risk properties to higher tiers
- This optimises credit usage
Upgrade History
Your billing history tracks upgrades:
- Original report generation
- Upgrade transaction
- Credits used for each
